Thermal Mud

The most recent studies on the Terme di Sirmione Thermal Mud have confirmed a significant presence of trace elements, which is a fundamental quality in cases of osteoporosis and difficult to find in other types of thermal mud. In addition, molecular analyses on mature thermal mud has confirmed the presence of a particular prokaryote, called Cyanobacterium Aponimum, and a specific microbiota characterised by the prevalence of sulphur bacteria capable of producing anti-inflammatory lipids. This chemical and microbiological composition contributes to making the mud from Terme di Sirmione particularly effective.
